1. Scope of Service & Permitted Use

Vauntico offers a free public service that reads publicly available GitHub metadata for a GitHub username and presents it as a point-in-time engineering snapshot. Opening a shared scan link runs a fresh scan of publicly available GitHub data; it does not retrieve a previously stored result.

The snapshot is a summary of the public evidence we observe. It is not a security audit, a vulnerability or dependency scan, a certification, a compliance determination, a credit score, an investment recommendation, a financial underwriting decision, or a guarantee of engineering quality, and it is not an approval by any buyer, investor, or financial institution. Scan results are point-in-time and are not stored as immutable records.

You agree to use the service lawfully, for its intended purpose, and not to attempt to access or interfere with any systems, data, or accounts you are not authorized to access.

2. Intellectual Property & Code Ownership

You retain absolute, unencumbered ownership of all source code, software architecture designs, and metadata connected to the platform. Vauntico claims zero intellectual property rights over your software signals.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose, not to attempt to manipulate or misrepresent scan results or the snapshot, and not to use the service to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or accounts. You may not present a snapshot as a certification, security assurance, credit score, or approval. Misuse of the service may result in termination of access.

4. Limitation of Liability

Vauntico provides the public GitHub engineering snapshot on an “as-is” basis without warranties of any kind. Scan results reflect publicly available data at a point in time and may not be complete or error-free. In no event shall Vauntico be liable for operational downtime, security incidents, or lost business opportunities resulting from reliance on scan results.
